Through the body,
Observe yourself.

Hyuga Dojo is a place where the philosophy of Aikimura is embodied through practice.

Through Aikido, we learn to meet others with presence, harmonize our breath, and observe the subtle sensations of the body.

Beyond mastering techniques, we cherish the opportunity to reflect on our relationship with ourselves and to deepen self-awareness through movement and interaction.

breathing.

Observe your bodily sensations.
It's not just about learning techniques, but
also about how to relate to yourself.

What is Aikido?

Hokkaido Retreat

Instead of defeating the opponent,
Harmonious martial arts.

Aikido is not a martial art centered on winning or defeating others.

Instead, it teaches us how to harmonize with another person by aligning movement, timing, and breath rather than opposing them.

Through continuous practice, respect, concentration, compassion, and embodied awareness develop naturally, enriching both training and everyday life.

Through that training, manners, concentration, consideration,

Body awareness develops naturally.

Things that are important at Hyuga Dojo

Harmony over strength.

At Hyuga Dojo, what matters most is not victory, but connection.

To bring the body into balance.
To harmonize the breath.
To settle the mind.

Through this continual practice, we create moments to quietly observe ourselves and reconnect with our true nature.

Through that process, you gradually create time to quietly observe yourself.
